Qmee Review 2020: A Scam or Legit?

Hey everyone! Welcome to my first review (ateenreview.wordpress.com). To start this blog off, I'll review a smaller but still relatively known website Qmee. I've been using Qmee for a while now and overall, it's okay. Qmee's website and app are well polished and have a nice UI, which is always a plus when it comes to money-making sites.

Qmee Overview

Qmee is a survey provider and browser extension with both a website and a mobile app. Qmee has 3 referral options which you can choose from, but I'll get more into that later. Click here to get started with Qmee with a bonus $0.50.

Disregarding referrals, Qmee has three primary sources of income for the user: completing surveys, completing offers, and performing browser searches. However, like most of us out there, you probably don't want to spend money to make some side cash, so surveys will be your best bet here.

Completing Surveys

Completing surveys will usually be your money-maker with Qmee. However, surveys on Qmee can vary very much in terms of time and reward. For example, some surveys take no more than 2 minutes to complete while others take almost 30 minutes. In addition, the time to reward ratio tends to vary quite a bit as well. For instance, some surveys may take just 5 minutes and reward you $0.75 while others may take 20 minutes and only reward you $0.50. Note that Qmee displays the estimated time it takes to complete a survey (the grey time on the left) as well as the average time it takes users to complete surveys (the green time on the right), so this can help you determine whether or not your time is worth.

Unfortunately, most of Qmee's survey rewards are on the low end and reward little for your time. That being said, check Qmee's surveys regularly to see if any high-rewarding surveys become available – they fill up quick.

Furthermore, Qmee also offers a Daily Poll which refreshes at 7:00pm CST every day. Unfortunately, completing the Daily Poll does not reward any cash. However, it does count towards your survey streak.

Oh, and Qmee occasionally offers a one question "quiz" which rewards you $0.03 if you answer correctly within 15 seconds.

Qmee's Survey Streaks

The survey streak bonus is unique to Qmee. Essentially, once you complete at least one survey or the daily poll per day, you'll fill up one "pig." Once you fill all 5 pigs by completing the requirements for 5 days in a row, you'll activate a 10% survey earning bonus.

Once activated, all surveys you take will reward you 10% more than normal. In order to maintain the survey streak, make sure to complete at least one survey or the daily poll every day.

Failed Surveys

Unfortunately, Qmee does not have a guaranteed disqualification reward for failed surveys. However, Qmee occasionally rewards you a few cents for failing a survey, but don't expect it often.

If you experience problems during a survey, you can report the problem to Qmee either during or after you return to the Qmee homepage.

If you completed a survey but don't receive your reward within 2 hours, you can contact them easily at support@qmee.com.

Completing Offers

Ah, the infamous offers to complete on any rewards program. As with most reward programs, Qmee's offers usually require you to purchase a product or subscription.

Qmee offers
Qmee offers

However, Qmee picks these offers pretty carefully and thus they are mostly trustworthy. On the flip side, this "pickiness" leads to a low variety of offers you can complete. In total, there are less than 50 offers to complete, most of them requiring some sort of payment. As such, personally I don't complete Qmee offers and wouldn't recommend them regardless of their higher reward.

If you choose to complete offers, keep in mind that it may take up to 90 days to receive your incentive.

Qmee's Browser Extension

Qmee's browser extension sets the rewards program apart from other online survey providers. Essentially, Qmee's browser extension (available on the Chrome Web Store) rewards you for qualifying searches performed on Google. If you aren't sure whether or not the extension is working, you can type in "Qmee" on Google and a pop-up tab with the link to qmee.com should open up on the left-hand side.

Once installed, you don't really have to worry about it anymore and just leave it be. Whenever you get a rewarding search (usually product searches), a tab will pop-up on the left side of the browser with a few links along with their reward value for clicking on them.

Qmee's browser extension is basically free money; unfortunately, rewarding searches are rare and Qmee only pays you for up to 2 qualifying searches per day. If you'd like better chances of finding rewarding search terms, you can join the Qmee Discord server and talk with others or look at their #rewarding-searches channel.

Qmee's Earnings & History Page

Qmee's earnings and history page is very transparent and displays your data in an easy-to-understand way.

The first section displays your total earnings, total cashouts, and Months earnings with pie charts or bar graphs.

The second section displays your cashouts and survey earning history with the date you completed the survey/cashed out, the survey completion status/cashout type, and reward earned/cashed out.

You can also view these stats on the mobile app, making Qmee's history page one of the better ones as compared to other reward sites.

Qmee's Mobile App

The Qmee mobile app is available on both the Google Play store and the App Store and contains all of the features of its website excluding the browser extension. The mobile app looks polished and contains little bugs, making it a great experience rather than a hassle to use.

In addition, the Qmee mobile app has a "Deals" tab (the center button in the image above) that isn't on their website.

Qmee mobile deals

The offers on this page are just deals such as discounts or trials, however, and don't actually reward anything. In addition, they seem to refresh every once in a while, so you can check back every couple of days for new deals. If you're interested in any of their deals, go for it, just remember that you won't get compensation for completing the offer.

Qmee's Referral Program

Qmee offers 3 different referral links for you to choose from:

Essentially, you can choose to use the link that gives you the full dollar for a successful referral, split it 50/50, or give it all away. Regardless of your choice, the value of each referral is $1.

$1 per referral is decent but still on the lower side of referral rewards from loyalty programs especially since they don't offer lifetime revenue-sharing (i.e. you earn 15% of what your referral earns for life). However, since Qmee doesn't deal with points, the referral bonus gets added to your bank account immediately and you can easily cash it out or redeem it for gift cards. Note that a referral only counts when your referral creates a Qmee account and makes their first PayPal cashout (this is much faster than it may seem).

If you'd like to get started, consider using my referral link for a $0.50 head start (50/50 baby).

Qmee's Rewards

Qmee offers three methods of cashout: through PayPal, gift cards, and by donating to charity.

PayPal

Qmee really stands out when it comes to cashing out your earnings with PayPal. Why? Because there is no minimum cashout threshold (excluding gift cards, obviously). Yes, this means that you can cash out any amount at any time. You can choose to either cash out all your balance or type in a specified amount.

There's no limit to how many times you can cash out per day either, so cash out to your heart's desire!

Gift Cards

Qmee's gift card collection isn't huge, but it has gift cards for all the common stores such as Amazon, iTunes, and Google Play which is enough for most people.

Here's a short list of the gift cards Qmee offers:

  • Amazon
  • iTunes
  • Apple Music
  • AMC Theaters
  • DoorDash
  • Google Play
  • Fandango
  • Hulu Plus
  • Olive Garden
  • Starbucks
  • PlayStation Store
  • Walmart
  • And others

Most gift cards have a minimum cashout of $5 but others have higher minimum cashouts (i.e. Google Play requires a minimum of $10 to redeem).

Charity

Qmee also supports a few charity donations, but if you're looking for a wide variety of charities to choose from, you're out of luck. Qmee only has 3 charity options. Yup, that's it. You can choose to donate to:

Again, you can choose to donate your entire balance or a specified amount of your choice.

So while Qmee does technically support charity donations, you only have 3 options to choose form. If you want to donate to a charity not supported by Qmee yet, your best bet would be to cash out through PayPal and donate to your charity that way.

Qmee – Pros

  • Completely free to use – all you need to do is sign up.
  • Multiple referral options – save it all for yourself, share it, or give it all away? It's your choice!
  • Survey time indicator – you can see how long a survey should roughly take before opening it.
  • Easy-to-use browser extension
  • Easy-to-use mobile app
  • No minimum cash out threshold– cash out to PayPal at anytime
  • Transparent History page that shows you all your earnings and cashouts
  • 10% earnings bonus when you complete at least one survey (or the daily poll) per day for 5 days in a row

Qmee – Cons

  • Surveys typically pay little (low reward:time ratio)
  • Failing surveys usually doesn't give you a disqualification bonus
  • The Offers are very limited
  • It may be difficult to find rewarding browser searches
  • Qmee limits rewarding browser searches to around 2 per day
  • Smaller Gift Card collection
  • You must have a verified PayPal account in order to cash out with PayPal
  • Only 3 charities to choose from

So, is Qmee a Scam or is it Legit?

Qmee is legit and I have cashed out many times with it. However, I feel that there are loyalty reward programs out there that payout more than Qmee does. That being said, Qmee's browser extension is fairly easy to use and can add a few cents to your piggy bank every couple of days, and occasionally a high-paying survey shows up.

Qmee definitely has its ups and downs, so it's up to you to decide whether or not Qmee is right for you. I hope this review helped you make somewhat of a decision, but regardless, don't be afraid to try Qmee out for yourself! You can use my referral link (http://qm.ee/CRCBLZCJLJUDW) and get $0.50 to start out with.

How much can I earn with Qmee?

With Qmee, you should be able to earn around $10 a week by spending around 30 minutes a day completing surveys and getting a few rewarded searches. This is somewhat on the low side, but you can earn more if you complete Offers, get lucky with your surveys, or refer lots of users.

Here's the bottom line: don't expect much from Qmee, but if you just need a few bucks a week for a relatively low amount of effort, Qmee is for you.

Star Rating & Conclusion

★★★

Qmee is getting 3.5/5 stars from me mainly because of the low-paying surveys. That being said, Qmee has a lot of positives too and there may occasionally be a high-paying survey, so try it out yourself with this $0.50 bonus. Qmee's non-existent cashout threshold and multiple cashout methods help make the programs stand out against competitors and are definitely a plus.

That about wraps up this review. What do you think about Qmee? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Please leave some feedback on how I can improve or suggest a reward program you'd like me to review either by leaving a comment or sending me an email at 1teensreview@gmail.com. Until next time.
